Chatham Racquet Club Pickleball Ladder Challenge (4/26)

Tournament Schedule:

10am Mixed Doubles

12:45pm Low Country Boil

2pm Men's/Women's Doubles

4pm Men's Women's Singles

About the Ladder Tournament:

• 7 match minimum

• There will only be one division per event, as we will rank all participants in the event. There are no skill-based divisions, only a single Open Division:

  • Ex: Men's Doubles (Open); Women's Doubles (Open); Men's Singles (Open), etc

• However, you will be playing people of your skill level during Ladder Play, because you will have the opportunity to challenge teams of you choosing (within 5 places of your rank)

• Match Format:

  • Games to 11, win by 2. Switch sides at 6.

• This is not a prize money tournament, it is for the purpose of setting the initial rankings for the CRC and UPE Ladder Rankings

• Medals will be provided to the top 3 finishers in all divisions.

The $100 cost includes your tournament registration and your yearly cost for participating in the CRC Pickleball Ladder. You may participate in up to 3 events at the tournament and in the ladder.

About the CRC Ladder:

Pre-Ladder Tournament: April 26th (All Day Saturday) *See Above*

• Low Country Boil and sports drinks and water will be provided for all participants and family spectators for the ladder tournament. 

• Initial Ladder Rankings will be set by Pre-Ladder Tournament on April 26th.

There will be five divisions in the Ladder: Men’s Doubles and Singles, Women’s Doubles and Singles, and Mixed Doubles. These will be the five divisions in the pre-ladder tournament as well. 

The ladder will be an ongoing event. Rankings will be posted on the UPE website, and inside the Chatham Racquet Club.

The cost of the ladder is $100 per year. This will entitle you to unlimited ladder match play over the next 12 months. 

• The cost of the ladder for the year is $100 for Members

• This is a 12 month cost starting from the first day you enter the Ladder. Members will auto renew each year unless they notify CRC.

• This only includes matches in the Ladder (this does not include any separate outings to the club)

  • A ladder entrant can play unlimited ladder matches per year.  

• Non members can join the ladder for up to 120 days. After 120 days, a non-member must join CRC to stay on the competitive ladder computer rankings. 

• A player or players can challenge a team no more than five places above them. 

• All rankings will be posted on both the UPE website and in the Chatham Racquet Club clubhouse. 

When a player makes a challenge, send us the challenge match info to the above email address. Once the match is completed, send us the final score of the event. Both teams must agree on the final score and result. Each match must be reported to the following email address: unitedpickleballexphelp@gmail.com

EX)  Jones/Jones (number 8 on ladder) challenges Smith/Smith (number 4 on ladder) on April 1st at 4pm. Final Score: Smith/Smith def Jones/Jones 15-12, 12-15, 15-8.

Match Rules:

• 2 out of 3 sets to 15

• Switch sides at 8 in every set

• Win by 2

• Higher-ranked ladder team decides if they want to serve first, or which side they choose.
